What began as a fun acronym and an invitation to share food, wine, and what we were up to artistically has since become a focused collective of like-minded visual artists.
Evenings spent clustered around my dining table, pre-covid, produced a lot of laughter and camaraderie. A spark flared somewhere along the way, and as fate would have it, sharing our artistic endeavors with one another prompted us to congeal into cohesiveness. All that delicious food and wine set the tone for future projects, whether the richness of a group show, or the balanced flavor of a joint proposal.
Over time, we became this bad-ass group of visual artists – aiding and abetting our fellow members in this lifestyle we have chosen. We are supporting one another in what is a most competitive sport – the visual arts. As women, we are keen to address the strengths of our blatantly overlooked tribe.
By uniting routinely as creatives, we share ideas, challenge our thinking, and push ourselves forward. It’s a beautiful practice – delicious, rich, complex, intoxicating.
